Job summary

UniFirst Corporation in Indianapolis is seeking a motivated team member for clean-room and garment processing operations. You will sort articles by type, gown in required PPE, weigh and wash, then dry and package items according to work orders.

Qualifications

• Ability to read a limited number of words and recognize similarities between words and numbers.
• Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and perform basic multiplication/division using money units, weight, and distance.
• Ability to follow written or oral instructions and work with limited supervision.
• Physical ability to frequently stand and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Sort articles by item and material type.
• Gown in clean-room garments with required PPE (hood, coverall, boots, gloves).
• Follow best practices for clean-room environments.
• Weigh articles, load into washer, start washer.
• Remove clean, wet articles and place into dryers for specified cycles.
• Turn or inspect articles during packaging preparation and inspect for damage.
• Mend torn/damaged articles as necessary.
• Bundle/package articles per work order requirements.
