Job summary

Da/Pro Rubber, Inc. is seeking a Press Machine Operator for 2nd shift to operate, tend, and monitor rubber pressing equipment, using job travelers and documentation for specifications.

You'll load rubber compounds, inspect process lights and gauges, remove finished parts safely, and keep work area clean while wearing protective gear. The role requires clear English communication and basic math, data entry, and use of hand tools.

Qualifications

• Ability to understand and communicate details in English.
• Ability to complete counting and basic mathematical calculations.
• Ability to record information in writing and to enter data accurately into the computer.
• Ability to use basic hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Review job documents for details and instructions to determine procedures and settings for pressing rubber components
• Cuts and loads rubber compounds onto molds
• Monitors press machine operation and observes lights and gauges in order to detect press machine malfunctions
• Operates press and removes parts from mold in safe manner
• Notifies supervisors when rubber component and/or molds don’t meet standards
• Provides the quality inspector with sample of finished product
• Cleans excess product from press and molds as needed, using various tools supplied by company
• Maintains clean and safe work area
• Wears protective equipment at all times
• Performs other duties as assigned

Job description

Individuals who work in the cleanroom have the following duties / responsibilities, in addition to those detailed in the description for their assigned job:

• Don and doff gowns and other required outerwear according to established protocols
• Follow prescribed procedures for entry and exit of the cleanroom.

JOB SUMMARY

The Press Machine Operator is responsible for operating, tending to the press machines to mold, shape, and form rubber components. The operator uses job travelers and other documentation for specifications and conformance.

2nd Shift

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Review job documents for details and instructions to determine procedures and settings for pressing rubber components
2. Cuts and loads rubber compounds onto molds
3. Monitors press machine operation and observes lights and gauges in order to detect press machine malfunctions
4. Operates press and removes parts from mold in safe manner

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Occasionally: reach above shoulder with both hands, lift/carry up to 50 lbs.

Frequently: lift upward with both arms outstretched, count and calculate, communicate details

Constantly: stand; reach outward with both hands, handle/finger, wrist and elbow flexion, rotation and articulation

Other: Near point vision, sense of touch, tolerance for temperature in a non-controlled environment
