Job summary

Draper, an independent nonprofit research and development company in Cambridge, MA, is seeking detailed and experienced Technicians to join our electronics assembly team, supporting the building of advanced hardware in a cleanroom/lab environment.

As a Technician you will hand solder, wire bond, and assemble semiconductor systems, collaborating with engineers to bring ambitious ideas to life and maintain high-quality standards; the role requires a two-year technical education or equivalent

Qualifications

• Two years of technical education and two years of experience or four years of experience.
• Ability to perform manual labor and operate automated/semi-automated equipment.

Responsibilities

• Performs cleaning, maintenance, or calibration of laboratory equipment with limited supervision.
• Operates complex equipment in the production of hardware with training and limited supervision.
• Documents work per unit policy with limited supervision.
• Performs focused training to progress into higher skilled positions as directed by supervisor.
• Other temporary assignments as directed by supervisor.
