Job summary

IPG Photonics Corporation in Oxford, MA is seeking an assembler to build electronic, optical and fiber assemblies for laser systems. You will read schematics, perform in-process quality checks and work to meet production metrics in a cleanroom environment.

The role requires a high-school electronics background, training in electronics/optics/fiber, and experience reading blueprints. Shift options include early morning hours with overtime potential, plus comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High-School education in Electronics.
• Electronics, optics or fiber training and understanding.
• Electronics, optics, fiber or component level assembly.
• Ability to read and follow written instructions and schematics.
• Regular and reliable attendance and the ability to work overtime.
• Work hours: 5am-1:30pm or 6am-2:30pm.

Responsibilities

• Build electronic assemblies and sub-assemblies for lasers.
• Build optical and fiber assemblies.
• Reading blueprints or schematics.
• Performs in-process quality checks.
• Test and measurement activities.
• Maintain cleanliness of work and common areas.
• Crosstrain in production area as assigned by the Supervisor.
• Meet assigned production metrics as defined by the Supervisor.
• Perform any and all other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
• Perform basic setup and troubleshooting of equipment.
• Train other assemblers as assigned.
• Wear appropriate cleanroom attire in a controlled area.
• Experience with Navision or similar ERP systems.
• Understanding of inventory processes and material handling.
