Job summary

Applied Materials, Inc. in Santa Clara, CA is seeking a Manufacturing Technician to build, repair, and test multimillion-dollar display and wafer fabrication equipment in a cleanroom environment.

You will perform electro-mechanical assembly, troubleshooting, and inspections, document progress, and contribute to process improvements while supporting engineers and technicians on daily production needs.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree, Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 4–7 years of semiconductor or display experience.
• Experience with vacuum process and chemical cleaning of semiconductor components a plus.
• Ability to lift 30 lbs.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% to support teams.

Responsibilities

• Clean and process chamber components in a cleanroom environment.
• Use optical and electric metrology tools to measure parts and sub-assemblies.
• Receive parts and perform cosmetic and optical inspections to ensure part quality.
• Collaborate with engineers on root cause analysis and corrective actions for quality excursions.
• Maintain and repair vacuum and optical systems; perform test and documentation.
