Job summary

Teledyne Technologies Incorporated’s Cleanroom & Contamination Control team seeks an Engineer to ensure high-reliability aerospace and space products are manufactured in controlled environments meeting top standards.

You will lead contamination control programs, monitor environmental conditions, and collaborate across Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, and Facilities to minimize contamination risk. A Bachelor's degree and 2–5+ years in related fields are required, with up to 10% travel.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical, problem-solving and technical communication skills are required.
• Experience with root cause investigations and corrective action processes is required.
• Knowledge of cleanroom operations, contamination control, and environmental monitoring is required.
• ISO 14644 cleanroom standards experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of AS9100 and ANSI/ESD S20.20 requirements is preferred.
• Lean Six Sigma experience is preferred.
• 2 to 5+ years of experience in contamination control, quality, manufacturing, mission assurance, or similar environments is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physical Sciences, Materials Science, Physics, Chemistry, or a related field is required; travel up to 10% is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead contamination control programs for cleanroom manufacturing, assembly, testing, and inspection activities.
• Maintain cleanroom procedures and contamination control plans.
• Monitor environmental conditions including particulates, temperature, humidity, pressure, airflow, ESD, calibration, and preventive maintenance.
• Coordinate cleanroom certifications and compliance activities.
• Conduct contamination risk assessments for new products, materials, equipment, and processes.
• Investigate contamination events using structured root cause analysis methods.
• Analyze environmental monitoring data, identify trends, and recommend corrective actions.
• Support process qualification, validation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Prepare for and support audits by customers, regulators, and internally.
• Develop and deliver training on cleanroom practices and contamination awareness.

As our Cleanroom & Contamination Control Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring high-reliability aerospace and space products are manufactured in controlled environments that meet the highest industry and customer standards. Working across Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, Facilities, Environmental Health & Safety, and Supply Chain, you will help prevent contamination risks that could impact product performance and reliability.

What you'll do

• Lead contamination control programs for cleanroom manufacturing, assembly, testing, and inspection activities.

• Monitor environmental conditions including particulate levels, temperature, humidity, pressure, airflow, electrostatic discharge, calibration, and preventive maintenance activities.
• Coordinate cleanroom certifications and compliance activities.
• Conduct contamination risk assessments for new products, materials, equipment, and processes.
• Investigate contamination events and product issues using structured root cause analysis methods.
• Analyze environmental monitoring data, identify trends, and recommend corrective actions.
• Support process qualification, validation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Prepare for and support customer, regulatory, and internal audits.
• Develop and deliver training on cleanroom practices, contamination awareness, and foreign object prevention.

Salary Range

$96,600.00-$128,800.00
