Job summary

Modern Industries in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Production/Assembler to join our on-site team. You will assemble, fabricate and clean parts to subassemblies and complete units, and you will test, calibrate and inspect components to meet tolerances and specifications.

A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with 0–3 years in manufacturing or assembly. You should be comfortable using hand tools, calipers and torque wrenches, and you must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 35

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; 0–3 years manufacturing/assembly experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and take basic measurements.
• Proficiency with hand tools and measuring devices.

Description

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Assemble, fabricate and clean parts to subassemblies and complete units.
• Test, calibrate, inspect and certify parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product specifications. Read and identify blueprint requirements such as: Epicor receiving/ rejecting parts, Final inspection identify exception and file all documents,
• Epicor verification buy off and stamp hard card, In-Process inspection/ verification all test certs are in hard card, Measure all sealing surfaces and O-ring depth.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required.
• Basic Computer Skills. Ability to use hand tools, torque wrenches, and small power tools.
• Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and computers.
• Knowledge and the use of calipers, torque wrenches, helicoil, keensert, and Leeplug installation tools.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum 0 - 3 years manufacturing/assembly experience

Physical Requirements :

• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. Ability to work standing for periods of time.
