Job summary

The Asher House is seeking a Companion Animal Cleaning Technician to support the care and wellbeing of animals at the sanctuary. You will clean and disinfect kennels and housing areas, work with a team of animal care professionals, and ensure environments meet safety standards for dogs and cats.

You will follow protocols, assist with loading and unloading supplies, and help keep areas organized and free from debris.

Responsibilities

• Daily care includes cleaning and sanitizing animal housing areas, including animals that may be isolated or quarantined.
• Follow proper protocols to ensure safety and high quality of care for animals in isolation/quarantine.
• Assist in loading and unloading animal supplies at the sanctuary.
• Ensure animals are in secured areas when visitors arrive for safety of animals and people.
• Keep supplies organized and areas around housing locations clean and free from debris.
• Ensure proper supplies are on hand and reorder with staff as needed.
• Act as a responsible and compassionate representative of The Asher House at all times.

Job description

As a Companion Animal Cleaning Technician, you will play a crucial role in the care and well-being of animals, and their health and wellbeing. Your responsibilities will include cleaning and disinfecting the companion animal kennels and housing areas. Working closely with a team of animal care professionals, you will clean and disinfect areas in which the dogs and cats reside to help ensure their environment is properly maintained.

Responsibilities:

Daily care includes:

• Properly clean and sanitize animal housing areasincluding animals that may be isolated or quarantined.
• Follow proper protocols and procedures to ensure the safety and highest quality of care for the animals, including animals that may be in insolation and quarantine.
• Assist in loading and unloading animal supplies at the sanctuary.
• Ensure animals are in secured areas of the sanctuary when visitors arrive to the property for the sake of safety to both animals and people.
• Keep supplies organized and areas throughout the house organized and free from clutter.
• Ensure proper supplies are on hand, and if additional supplies are needed work with appropriate staff for reordering.
• Keep areas around the animal housing locations clean, disinfected, and clear of debris and clutter.
• Act as a responsible and compassionate representative of The Asher House at all times.
