A&A ADEKILE SOLUTIONS LLC is looking for a dedicated Janitor, General Helper, and Animal Caregiver to support daily cleaning and compassionate animal care. The role combines maintenance duties with hands-on animal care, enrichment, and monitoring.

Responsibilities include cleaning and repairs, handling and caring for animals, admin tasks, and ensuring safety. Candidates should have a high school diploma and a love for animals, with flexibility for weekends/holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Ability to work in potentially dirty or uncomfortable conditions.
• Experience with animal care or veterinary assistance is preferred.
• CPR and first aid certification for animals is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness, safety, and hygiene of the building and facilities.
• Perform daily cleaning tasks (vacuuming, washing carpets, mopping, deep cleaning floors, restroom scrubbing, dusting, trash).
• Clean windows, shampoo carpets, replace bulbs, restock supplies, and perform minor repairs.
• Address safety hazards and secure the building at end of shift.
• Feed, water, and monitor animals; provide enrichment and exercise.
• Administer medications as prescribed by veterinary staff and report concerns.
• Assist with intake, grooming, basic record-keeping, and safe transport of animals.

Job Summary

We are looking for a dedicated and hard-working Janitor, General Helper, and Animal Caregiver to join our team. At our facility, we believe that both a clean, well-maintained environment and compassionate, high-standard animal care are vital to our mission. This versatile role requires a unique blend of physical stamina, attention to detail, and a genuine passion for animal welfare. You will be responsible for general janitorial and maintenance duties across the building, as well as providing daily hands-on care, enrichment, and monitoring for the animals in our care. This role requires a unique blend of empathy, attention to detail, and physical stamina, along with a genuine passion.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the overall cleanliness, safety, and hygiene of the building and facilities.
• Perform daily cleaning tasks including vacuuming carpets, wash carpets, mopping and deep clean floors, scrubbing restrooms, dusting, and emptying trash.
• Clean windows, shampoo carpets, replace light bulbs, restock restroom supplies, and perform minor facility repairs as needed.
• Quickly address safety hazards using appropriate equipment.
• Secure the building by locking doors and windows at the end of each shift.
• Report completed tasks and notify management of major repair needs.
• Maintain the cleanliness and safety of the building performing repairs in a regular basis
• Feed and water animals according to specific dietary schedules and needs.
• Clean, sanitize, and maintain animal living spaces, enclosures, and handling areas.
• Safely handle and restrain animals of various sizes and temperaments.
• Administer medications and routine treatments as prescribed by veterinary staff.
• Monitor animal behavior, health, and well-being; document and report any concerns.
• Provide physical exercise, social interaction, and enrichment activities.
• Take them to the vet for any minor or mayor medical assitance.
• Help with the intake, grooming, basic record-keeping, and safe transport of animals.

Qualifications

• Spanish is desirable
• Willingness to work in potentially dirty or uncomfortable conditions
• Genuine love for animals
• Educational requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent
• Driver's license
• Experience with a variety of cleaning supplies and cleaning equipment
• Must be a hard worker with high attention to detail and have a strong work ethic
• Previous experience in animal care or veterinary assistance
• Certification in animal care or related field
• Strong understanding of animal behavior and needs
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to handle stressful or emergency situations calmly
• CPR and first aid certification for animals
• Physical stamina to handle frequent lifting and long hours
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
• Experience with animal training or enrichment programs
• Knowledge of animal nutrition and health care
