You will manage your own schedule and represent the BDS brand professionally in all client interactions.

The ideal candidate should be reliable, punctual, and possess personal transportation. Experience in residential cleaning is preferred but not mandatory. This position operates under a 1099 independent contractor structure.

We are growing fast and looking for reliable, skilled cleaning professionals to grow with us.

THE ROLE

As a Residential Cleaning Technician with Brighter Day Services you will provide professional cleaning services in clients’ homes across your assigned region in Maryland. You work independently, manage your own schedule within your booked appointments, and represent the BDS brand with every visit. This is a 1099 independent contractor role — you are your own boss backed by a professional booking and support system.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Cleaning Services

• Perform standard, deep clean, move-in/move-out, and recurring cleaning services in residential homes
• Clean and sanitize kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, living areas, and common spaces to BDS quality standards
• Dust, vacuum, mop, wipe surfaces, and clean appliances inside and out where applicable
• Follow the specific scope of work for each booking as outlined in BookingKoala
• Complete add-on services as booked — inside oven, interior windows, garage, and other extras

Client Experience

• Represent Brighter Day Services professionally in every client interaction
• Use the I’m On My Way feature in BookingKoala to notify clients when departing for the job
• Use the Running Late feature if arrival will be delayed — client is notified automatically
• If a client is dissatisfied with any aspect of the service the job must be redone at no additional cost
• Never share personal contact information with clients or solicit work outside of the BDS platform

Time Tracking & Job Completion

• Clock in via BookingKoala GPS upon arriving at the job site
• Clock out and mark the job complete in BookingKoala upon finishing
• All jobs must be marked complete in BookingKoala before 11:59 PM on the last day of the pay period

WHAT YOU BRING

Required

• 18 years of age or older
• Reliable personal transportation to travel to job sites across your assigned region
• Smartphone with ability to download and use the BookingKoala app
• Ability to pass a background check
• Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and move throughout a job for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs as needed
• Strong attention to detail and pride in the quality of your work
• Reliable and punctual — clients count on you to show up on time

Preferred

• Prior residential or house cleaning experience
• Experience with recurring client relationships
• Familiarity with professional cleaning products and techniques

Supplies & Equipment

Residential Cleaning Technicians are responsible for supplying their own cleaning products and equipment. BDS offers optional cleaning kits available for purchase to help you get started with the right professional-grade supplies. Details are provided during onboarding.
