Job summary

Quest Food Management Services is seeking a Cleaning Steward to uphold a clean, sanitary, and organized foodservice operation. The role covers routine and deep cleaning of kitchens, dish rooms, storage, and equipment, with a Monday–Friday 6a–3p schedule.

You will follow cleaning schedules, safety procedures, and sanitation logs while supporting dishwashing and waste removal as needed. Must have a high school diploma or equivalent, basic math, and the ability to obtain a Food Handler

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent work experience.
• Ability to perform basic math and understand measurements.
• Ability to obtain and maintain Food Handler certification.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, organization, and appearance of assigned foodservice areas.
• Perform daily, weekly, monthly, and seasonal cleaning tasks.
• Clean and sanitize floors, walls, ceilings, drains, shelving, and storage areas.
• Clean equipment and bakery/cafeteria surfaces, and kitchen interiors/exteriors.
• Clean walk-ins, freezers, dry storage, dish rooms, and other areas.
• Sweep, scrub, and mop floors; address spills and safety hazards promptly.
• Remove trash/recycling and maintain clean waste-handling areas.
• Use, store, and maintain cleaning tools, chemicals, and supplies per policies.
• Follow chemical-handling, PPE, and SDS requirements.
• Maintain sanitation logs and food safety documentation.
• Report maintenance or safety concerns to a supervisor.
• Assist with washing, sanitizing, organizing, and storing dishes and equipment.
• Ensure areas are clean and ready for operation at end of shift.
• Follow Quest policies and health department requirements.
