Job summary

Equity LifeStyle Properties (ELS) is hiring a Seasonal, Full Time Cleaning Specialist for our Lake Gaston resort in North Carolina. You will clean the resort office, clubhouse, bath houses and public areas to maintain a five-star experience for guests.

Requires a high school diploma and 1–3 years of housekeeping experience, knowledge of cleaning products, valid driver’s license, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and willingness to work weekends/holidays with flexible hours.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–3 years of housekeeping experience.
• Knowledge of cleaning supplies and products.
• Previous housekeeping experience is a plus.
• Organizational skills and attention to details.
• Valid driver’s license, good driving record, current auto insurance and reliable transportation.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Due to the nature of our business, you must be able to work weekends, holidays and flexible hours as needed.

Responsibilities

• Clean resort office, clubhouse, bath houses and public areas as directed (mopping, dusting, vacuuming, trash removal).
• Keep common areas clean and maintained to standards.
• Manage cleaning supply inventory and request refills as needed.
• Report maintenance concerns to Resort Manager or Maintenance Supervisor.
• Assist maintenance staff and other staff as needed.
• Assist with resort-sponsored guest activities and functions.
• Respond to guest inquiries in a timely, professional manner.
• Address guest-related problems with a positive attitude.

What you'll do:

You are applying for a Seasonal, Full Time Position at our Camping Resort on beautiful Lake Gaston, NC. Our Cleaning Specialist ensures our resort stays clean and tidy to provide our guests a five-star experience.

• Cleaning specialist clean the resort office, clubhouse, bath houses, public access areas as directed, including mopping, dusting, vacuuming and removing trash.
• Keep common areas clean and maintain them to our standards.
• Keep track of cleaning supply inventory and request refills as needed.
• Report any maintenance concerns for repairs in common areas to the Resort Manager or Maintenance Supervisor.
• As a cleaning specialist you will also assist the maintenance staff and other staff members as needed.
• Assist with cleaning up resort-sponsored guest activities and functions.
• Assist your Resort Manager in responding to guest inquiries in a timely, professional manner and with patience and concern.
• Solve and/or report guest-related problems and address conflicts with a positive attitude.
• Our Cleaning specialist will be required to drive one of our property golf carts.
• Work closely with management and the management staff to maintain open communications and make sure that the resort team is integrated and coordinated.
• Provide outstanding customer service.

Experience, skills and requirements you need:

• High school diploma or the equivalent.
• One to three years of experience in a housekeeping role.
• Knowledge of cleaning supplies and products.
