ServiceMaster of Kalamazoo is seeking a Cleaning Specialist to join our small, detail-driven team. You will perform thorough cleaning of assigned spaces, following established checklists and safety procedures, with a steady Monday–Friday daytime schedule.

Job Description

• Work as part of a small team to complete timely, thorough cleaning of assigned spaces, following established checklists and protocols.
• Accurately follow all safety and sanitation procedures, including proper use of chemicals, disinfectants, and equipment.
• Maintain a professional demeanor at all times while on-site.
• Coordinate closely with team members and on-site staff to keep work on schedule.
• Attain familiarity with site-specific cleaning specifications and requirements, providing excellent customer service and maintaining high-quality standards.
• Exhibit proficiency, efficiency, and professionalism in all areas of job performance.
• Accomplish organizational goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing tasks and looking for ways to add value to the job and serve the customer.

Job Minimum Qualifications

• Strong ability to follow detailed checklists and instructions precisely and consistently.
• Proper, safe use of cleaning chemicals and equipment, with willingness to learn site-specific protocols.
• Professional communication and demeanor.

• Strong time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• Availability to work 10:00 am – 3:00 pm, Monday through Friday.

Position Ideal Qualifications

Experience in janitorial services, environmental services, or hospitality housekeeping.

Physical Requirements

• Exposure to cleaning chemicals and odors.
• Frequently lifts, carries, pushes, or otherwise moves objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Frequently walks, stands, bends, stoops, and moves quickly between rooms.
