Job summary

EW Grobbel in Detroit, MI is hiring a Cleaning Specialist (Custodian) to perform routine and deep cleaning across production, office, and common areas. The role offers first shift options (6:00 AM–2:30 PM or 7:00 AM–3:30 PM) with pay ranging from $18.50 to $22.00 per hour based on experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and deep cleaning of production, office, and common areas while maintaining high sanitation standards.
• Respond promptly and independently to spills, cleaning emergencies, and other facility needs.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, offices, hallways, stairwells, and other common areas, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and floor care.
• Clean windows, mirrors, and other glass surfaces to maintain a professional appearance.
• Support scheduled deep-cleaning and special facility projects.
• Inspect, maintain, and operate custodial equipment; report maintenance or repair needs promptly.
• Report maintenance concerns or facility issues.
• Safely use cleaning chemicals and equipment while following all food safety and safety procedures.
• Monitor and replenish restroom and facility supplies, including soap, paper towels, and toilet paper.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and inspection-ready facility while working with minimal supervision.
