Job summary

Voda Cleaning & Restoration of Chattanooga is seeking qualified technicians to perform water damage restoration and microbial remediation tasks for residential and commercial properties. Responsibilities include cleaning, restoration, and documentation, with opportunities for advancement as the company expands in the Chattanooga area.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, some cleaning experience, and IICRC certifications; CCT is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• IICRC certifications are highly desired.
• Experience in floor cleaning or related cleaning services is preferred (mold remediation, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Perform carpet and floor cleaning and restoration tasks.
• Complete applicable cleaning/restoration documentation and authorizations.
• Communicate effectively with customers and maintain equipment.
• Assist with basic vehicle and tool maintenance and inspections.
• Be willing to learn new equipment and technologies in the industry.

Education

Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC) certificates

Carpet Cleaning Technician (CCT) certification preferred

Cleaning & Restoration Technician Qualifications And Experience

• Education and Experience: High school diploma (or GED).
• Mathematical Skills: Adequate math skills. Ability to apply learned techniques to determine appropriate equipment type and number of units.
• Computer Skills: Demonstrates basic proficiency in the use of computers, email, and portable devices used to report and record daily activity.
• 1 year of floor cleaning experience preferred, and/or some form of specialty cleaning (i.e. Stripping & Waxing Commercial Space Flooring, Air Duct Cleaning, Tile and Grout Cleaning, Upholstery Cleaning, Mold Remediation, etc.)
• Highly Desired Certificates from Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC)
• Carpet Cleaning Technician (CCT)* preferred, but not required

Cleaning & Restoration Technician Job Summary

Assist in gaining and retaining customers by fulfilling the company's obligations through the timely and effective delivery of residential and commercial cleaning and restoration services.

Cleaning & Restoration Technician Responsibilities

• Effectively perform Carpet & Floor Cleaning and Restoration services the company offers (Opportunities exist to earn Mold Mitigation; Fire & Water Damage Restoration certifications and experience quickly). (Note: Compensation levels will reflect the experience level of the technician. Hourly rate increases as experience and certifications are gained in water mitigation, fire restoration, and mold certifications are added. Commissions are possible on top of hourly rate)
• Perform reconstruction services as necessary (drywall, trim, paint)
• Complete appropriate cleaning and restoration documentation and authorizations.
• Communicate effectively with customers.
• Perform basic equipment maintenance.
• Perform basic vehicle maintenance.
• Inspect completed work.
• Complete the technician's daily log.
• Complete Work Orders.
• Maintain appearance and stock of appropriate tools, materials, and supplies for company vehicles.
• Maintain inventory of related supplies.
• Willing to learn and work with the newest equipment and technology in the industry.
• Willing to hold self and others accountable for maintaining company standards.
