Job summary

Voda Cleaning & Restoration is seeking a Cleaning And Restoration Technician to support a broad range of services, from carpet cleaning to water and mold restoration, with a focus on delivering high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.

You will gain hands-on experience with containment, fire and smoke restoration, and related techniques, with clear opportunities for advancement and a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Mathematical skills to determine equipment and quantity.
• Basic computer skills to report daily activity.
• 1 year of floor cleaning experience preferred.
• 1 year of water mitigation, mold mitigation, fire restoration, and containment experience.
• IICRC certifications such as Carpet Cleaning Technician (CCT) preferred but not required.
• Opportunity to advance into WRT, AMRT, ASD, MRS, FSRT.

Responsibilities

• Perform Carpet & Floor Cleaning and Restoration services; opportunities to earn Mold Mitigation, Fire & Water Damage Restoration certs as experience grows.
• Complete cleaning/restoration documentation and authorizations.
• Communicate effectively with customers.
• Perform basic equipment maintenance.
• Perform basic vehicle maintenance.
• Inspect completed work.
• Complete the technician’s daily log.
• Maintain inventory of tools and supplies for company vehicles.
• Willing to learn and work with the newest equipment and technology in the industry.
• Maintain company standards.

Cleaning And Restoration Technician Qualifications And Experience

• Education and Experience: High school diploma (or GED).
• Mathematical Skills: Adequate math skills. Ability to apply learned techniques to determine appropriate equipment type and number of units.
• Computer Skills: Demonstrates basic proficiency in the use of computers, email, and portable devices used to report and record daily activity.
• 1 year of floor cleaning experience preferred, and/or some form of specialty cleaning (i.e. Stripping & Waxing Commercial Space Flooring, Air Duct Cleaning, Tile and Grout Cleaning, Upholstery Cleaning, etc.)
• 1 year of water mitigation, mold mitigation, fire restoration, and containment building experience.
• Highly Desired Certificates from the Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC)
  • Carpet Cleaning Technician (CCT)* preferred but not required
• Opportunities to advance into:
  • Water Damage Restoration Technician (WRT)
  • Applied Microbial Remediation Technician (AMRT)
  • Applied Structural Drying Technician (ASD)
  • Mold Remediation Specialist (MRS)

Cleaning and Restoration Technician

Responsibilities

• Effectively perform Carpet & Floor Cleaning and Restoration services the company offers (Opportunities exist to earn Mold Mitigation; Fire & Water Damage Restoration certifications and experience quickly). (Note: Compensation levels will reflect the experience level of the technician. Hourly rate increases as experience and certifications are gained in water mitigation, mold, trauma scene, and asbestos certifications are added. Commissions are possible on top of hourly rate)
• Complete appropriate cleaning and restoration documentation and authorizations.
• Communicate effectively with customers.
• Perform basic equipment maintenance.
• Perform basic vehicle maintenance.
• Inspect completed work.
• Complete the technician’s daily log.
• Complete Work Orders.
• Maintain appearance and stock of appropriate tools, materials, and supplies for company vehicles.
• Maintain inventory of related supplies.
• Willing to learn and work with the newest equipment and technology in the industry.
• Willing to hold self and others accountable for maintaining company standards.
