FUNCTION:

The Cleaning Porter ensures the cleanliness and upkeep of the common areas, including lobbies, restroom, locker rooms, pool deck, tennis courts, snack shack and café area throughout the day.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  1. Facility Maintenance:
    • Ensure the cleanliness and upkeep of common areas, including lobbies, restrooms, locker rooms, pool decks, and tennis courts throughout the day.
  2. Trash Management:
    • Regularly empty trash bins, replace liners, and remove debris to maintain a clean and sanitary environment.
  3. Surface Cleaning:
    • Wipe down tables, chairs, counters, handrails, and other high-touch surfaces to ensure cleanliness and safety.
  4. Restroom Upkeep:
    • Monitor and restock restrooms with necessary supplies (soap, paper towels, toilet paper) and address any maintenance or cleanliness issues promptly.
  5. Pool and Court Area Maintenance:
    • Keep pool decks and tennis courts free of litter, towels, and debris, and ensure chairs and equipment are neatly arranged.
  6. Supply Management:
    • Monitor and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and report when restocking is needed.
  7. Minor Repairs and Reporting:
    • Address minor maintenance issues (e.g., replacing light bulbs) and report larger maintenance needs to the appropriate personnel.
  8. Member Support:
    • Respond to member requests or concerns regarding facility cleanliness and direct inquiries to appropriate staff when needed.
  9. Safety Monitoring:
    • Identify and report safety hazards, spills, or damages promptly to ensure a safe environment for members and staff.
  10. Collaboration:
  • Work closely with other staff to ensure a smooth operation and positive experience for club members and guests.
Qualifications

SPECIAL PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS:

  • Must be able to meet physical needs of position, including lifting up to 50 pounds, prolonged periods of standing, bending, leaning, and squatting.
