Job summary

GDI is seeking a dependable Janitorial Supervisor in Jacksonville to oversee daily cleaning staff and ensure cleanliness, quality, and safety standards are met. The role requires strong leadership, clear communication, and experience supervising janitorial teams in a production or industrial setting.

Schedule is 8:00am-5:00pm with weekly pay and standard benefits. The successful candidate will train staff, manage tasks, and ensure safe, compliant operations across all cleaning areas.

Qualifications

• Ability to lead and supervise janitorial staff.
• Stand/walk for extended periods.
• Previous supervisory experience required.
• Strong work ethic; able to work alone or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise janitorial staff during assigned shifts.
• Assign daily tasks and monitor workmanship and completion.
• Clean and sanitize floors, walls, equipment, restrooms, break areas, and production zones.
• Ensure proper use of cleaning chemicals, tools, and equipment.
• Follow OSHA, safety, and sanitation procedures.
• Inspect areas to ensure cleanliness and compliance.
• Train new employees on cleaning procedures.
• Support emergency cleanups, spills, and special projects as needed.
• Maintain a safe and organized work environment.
• Assist with training and cross-training as needed.
• Perform other duties to support operations.
