Job summary

Meijer is seeking entry-level team members to gain exposure to a variety of retail tasks related to services, products and customer service. You will interact with customers and learn what 'above and beyond' service means.

This role involves cart movement, parking lot and store trash collection, snow removal, perishable returns, cleaning, and supporting service desks and various departments. It’s a foundation role with opportunities for growth within our store family.

Qualifications

• Must be highly organized with attention to detail.
• Strong listening and verbal communication skills.
• Able to lift, push, pull, and bend while handling products.

Responsibilities

• Move shopping carts from outside to inside the store.
• Coordinate and collect trash from parking lot and store.
• Safely operate snow removal equipment for snow removal.
• Handle perishable and salvage returns.
• Perform basic store and restroom cleaning.
• Assist service desk, entrance, checkout lanes, and parking areas.
• Collaborate with departments across the store.
• Other duties as assigned.

As an entry-level team member, you will have the opportunity to gain exposure to a variety of retail tasks related to additional services provided by our store, product and customer service. What You'll be Doing:

• Cart attendants will ferry shopping carts from outside the store back to the store interior.
• Coordinating and collecting of the parking lot, lawn, and inside store trash.
• Safely use snow removal equipment for properly removing snow.
• Perishable and salvage returns.
• Basic store and restroom cleaning.
• Working with our service desk, store entrance, check lanes and parking lot areas.
• Working with departments: Health and Beauty Care, Hardlines, Fashion/Softlines, Pets, Hardware, Card and Party, Outdoor, Seasonal and Floral.
