Job summary

Spirit Mountain Casino in Grand Ronde, OR is seeking a dedicated custodian to clean and maintain its facilities across gaming floors and public areas. Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; six months cleaning experience preferred.
• Must obtain a low security gaming license from the Grand Ronde Gaming Commission.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Vaccinations may be required and a pre-employment physical will be performed.

Responsibilities

• Sweep and mop floors; vacuum carpets.
• Clean and replace ashtrays; remove beverage cups and trash from gaming areas.
• Wipe down gaming machines; clean glass doors and windows.
• Sanitize restroom facilities including sinks, toilets, stalls, walls, and mirrors.
• Monitor and restock restroom supplies.
• Remove garbage and dispose of waste.
• Washes and/or steam cleans trash cans and compactors.
• Launder soiled mops and rags.
• Clean up spills and bio-hazardous materials.
• Participate in special cleaning projects as assigned.
• Respond to general inquiries and assist guests.

Summary: Cleans and maintains casino facilities for area of assignment.

The intent of this position description is to provide a representative summary of the major duties and responsibilities performed by this position. Employee(s) may be required to perform position-related tasks other than those specifically listed in this description.

Essential Job Functions:

• Sweeps and mops floors; vacuums carpets
• Cleans and replaces ashtrays; removes beverage cups and trash from gaming areas

Education, Experience, Licenses, Registrations, and Certifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent, and six (6) months cleaning attendant experience, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
• Low security gaming license issued by the Grand Ronde Gaming Commission
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Due to the nature of the interactions with other employees and the public we serve, employees may be required to provide documentation of, or receive, certain health vaccinations
• Will be required to pass a pre-employment physical

Environmental Factors and Conditions/Physical Requirements:

• Work is performed in a gaming environment with exposure to tobacco smoke and noise
• Work is subject to frequent walking, intermittent standing, pushing, pulling, bending, reaching, kneeling, repetitive motions, repetitive lifting/moving of up to 50 pounds,
• Work involves frequent exposure to cleaning chemicals, bio-hazardous materials, and general hazards from equipment operation; occasional exposure to working at heights when using high lift equipment

• Brooms, mops, chemical containers, vacuums, motorized floor scrubbers, rolling carts, trash carts, ladders, compactors, high-lifts, pressure washers, and two-way radios
