Job summary

Spirit Mountain Casino is seeking a Housekeeping Associate to clean, stock, and sanitize guest rooms, storage rooms, and closets in the Hotel division. You will follow safety standards, maintain supplies, and assist with periodic cleaning projects while ensuring bathrooms and rooms meet presentation standards for guests.

The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, six months of cleaning experience, and a Grand Ronde Gaming Commission license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Six months cleaning work experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• High Security Gaming License issued by the Grand Ronde Gaming Commission.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Pre-employment health vaccinations may be required.

Responsibilities

• Remove dirty linens, trash and glasses from guestrooms at checkout and ensure timely laundry processing.
• Make beds with clean linens and clean bathrooms, walls, mirrors, tiles, and floors.
• Dust furniture and shelves and vacuum rooms to maintain cleanliness.
• Replenish amenities, linens, and supplies in guest rooms.
• Work independently to complete room quotas and prioritize tasks.
• Operate and maintain a motorized housekeeping cart; keep closets organized.
• Assist with deep cleaning and periodic cleaning projects as needed.
• Use cleaning chemicals safely and follow health, hygiene, and safety standards.
• Ensure rooms meet cleanliness and presentation standards before guests arrive.
• Record maintenance issues, damages, and missing items; report lost and found items.
• Respond to guest requests promptly and assist with stayovers.
• Handle spills and biohazards professionally and safely.

Summary: Cleans, stocks, and sanitizes guest rooms, storage rooms, and housekeeping closets.

The intent of this position description is to provide a representative summary of the major duties and responsibilities performed by this position. Employee(s) may be required to perform position-related tasks other than those specifically listed in this description.

Essential Job Functions:

• Removes all dirty linens from bathroom and beds, removes all trash and dirty glasses from guestrooms at checkout.
• Ensures the linens get to the laundry room in a timely manner
• Makes beds with clean linen; cleans bathtub/showers, toilet, sink, walls, mirrors, tiles, counters, and mop floor surfaces.
• Dusts furniture, pictures, drawers, window ledges, and shelves, and vacuum room.
• Replenishes guest room and bathroom amenities, linens and supplies
• Work independently and efficiently; complete assigned room quotas in a timely manner and prioritize tasks and stay self-motivated with minimal supervision.
• Ensure housekeeping cart and closets are stocked and clean and organized at the start and end of each shift and be able to operate a motorized housekeeping cart.
• Assists with deep cleaning of rooms and periodic cleaning projects when necessary.
• Uses cleaning chemicals properly and safely; adhere to health, hygiene and safety standards.
• Ensure rooms meet cleanliness and presentation standards before guests arrive.
• Records and reports maintenance issues, damages or missing items to Leads.
• Records and reports Lost & found items from guestrooms
• Operate dishwasher to clean and sterilize glassware used in guestrooms.
• Responds to guest requests in a polite and professional manner and service stayover in a timely manner.
• Cleans up spills and bio-hazardous materials.

Education, Experience, Licenses, Registrations, and Certifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent, and six (6) months cleaning work experience, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• High security gaming license issued by the Grand Ronde Gaming Commission.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Due to the nature of the interactions with other employees and the public we serve, employees may be required to provide documentation of, or receive, certain health vaccinations.

Environmental Factors and Conditions/Physical Requirements:

• Work is performed in hotel environment
• Work is subject to frequent standing and walking, bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, kneeling, crawling, and lifting up to 75 pounds.
• Work is subject to frequent use of hands to finger, handle, feel and reach with hands and arms.
• Occasionally exposed to blood and bodily fluids.
• Frequently exposed to hazardous cleaning materials and chemicals.
• Will be required to pass a pre-employment physical.

Equipment and Tools Utilized:

• Equipment utilized includes standard office equipment, telephone, materials, supplies and tools used in cleaning and maintenance of guest rooms, , two-way radio, and carts, vacuums, and other tools necessary to perform cleaning duties.
