Job summary

Clean Team Inc. in Lansing, MI is seeking part-time Cleaning Associates for evening shifts, Monday–Friday 10:30am–2:30pm, to help maintain a clean and welcoming environment.

If you are dedicated and eager to grow, Clean Team offers training and advancement opportunities. Responsibilities include trash removal, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, window cleaning and bathroom disinfection, plus noticing and reporting any issues to the Area Manager.

Qualifications

• Follow instructions and learn new cleaning techniques.
• Good time management to finish shift.
• Understand cleaning supplies and equipment.
• Self-starter with minimal supervision.
• Positive attitude and team player.
• Able to lift up to 20 pounds.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Must be 18+, valid DL, reliable transportation, proof of car insurance.
• Steel-toed boots are required.

Responsibilities

• Empty trash and recycling into appropriate waste bins and ensure receptacles are clean.
• Vacuum carpets and spot clean as needed.
• Sweep, mop and polish floors with the appropriate cleaning supplies.
• Dust furniture, ledges, light fixtures, and other hard to reach places.
• Wash windows, mirrors, and glass surfaces free of streaks.
• Disinfect bathrooms and restock soap and towels; ensure locks if keys.
• Take inventory of cleaning supplies and inform supervisor to reorder.
• Inform Area Manager of anything broken or not functioning properly for prompt resolution.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Empty trash and recycling receptacles into appropriate waste bins and ensure receptacles are kept clean and free of smells.
• Vacuum all carpeted areas and spot clean when it is necessary.
• Sweep, mop and polish floors using the appropriate cleaning supplies
• Clean and dust furniture, ledges, light fixtures, and other hard to reach places
• Wash windows, mirrors, and glass surfaces making sure they are free of streaks
• Clean and disinfect bathrooms, ensure soap and paper towel dispensers are well stocked, make sure they are locked if they have a key
• Take inventory of cleaning supplies and materials, making sure you are letting your supervisor know to order more as needed.
• Inform Area Manager of anything that is broken or not functioning properly so that the issue is resolved promptly

Qualifications

• Capable of following instructions and learn new techniques
• Strong time management skills in order to ensure all work is completed by the end of the shift
• Demonstrate and understanding of standard cleaning supplies and equipment
• Self-starter who takes the initiative to determine and complete task with minimal supervision
• Positive attitude and ability to work as part of a team
• Able to lift up to 20 pounds for short periods of time
• Possess a strong attention to detail
• Must be 18+ years old, possess a valid DL, with reliable transportation and proof or car insurance
