Job summary

Voda Cleaning & Restoration is seeking a Cleaning and Restoration Technician in Missouri to perform carpet and floor cleaning and restoration services. Opportunities exist to pursue certifications in water and mold remediation as you gain experience.

This role offers training, health benefit options, generous PTO, and opportunities for advancement. Compensation is hourly and is adjusted with experience and added certifications.

Qualifications

• Education and Experience: High school diploma (or GED).
• Mathematical Skills: Adequate math skills and ability to apply techniques to determine equipment type and number of units.
• Computer Skills: Basic proficiency in computers, email, and portable devices used to report daily activity.
• 1 year of floor cleaning experience preferred, and/or some form of specialty cleaning (e.g. stripping & waxing, air duct cleaning, tile & grout, upholstery).
• IICRC certifications are highly desired.
• Carpet Cleaning Technician (CCT) preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Effectively perform Carpet & Floor Cleaning and Restoration services offered by the company (opportunities exist to earn Mold Mitigation; Fire & Water Damage Restoration certifications).
• Complete appropriate cleaning and restoration documentation and authorizations.
• Communicate effectively with customers.
• Perform basic equipment maintenance.
• Perform basic vehicle maintenance.
• Inspect completed work.
• Complete the technician’s daily log.
• Complete Work Orders.
• Maintain appearance and stock of tools, materials, and supplies for company vehicles.
• Maintain inventory of related supplies.
• Willing to learn and work with the newest equipment and technology in the industry.
• Willing to hold self and others accountable for maintaining company standards.

Cleaning And Restoration Technician Qualifications And Experience

• Education and Experience: High school diploma (or GED).

• Computer Skills: Demonstrates basic proficiency in the use of computers, email, and portable devices used to report and record daily activity.
• 1 year of floor cleaning experience preferred, and/or some form of specialty cleaning (i.e. Stripping & Waxing Commercial Space Flooring, Air Duct Cleaning, Tile and Grout Cleaning, Upholstery Cleaning, etc.)
• Highly Desired Certificates from the Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC)
• Carpet Cleaning Technician (CCT)* preferred but not required
• Opportunities to advance into:
• Water Damage Restoration Technician (WRT)
• Applied Microbial Remediation Technician (AMRT)
• Applied Structural Drying Technician (ASD)
• Mold Remediation Specialist (MRS)
• Fire and Smoke Damage Restoration Technician (FSRT)

Cleaning and Restoration Technician Responsibilities

• Effectively perform Carpet & Floor Cleaning and Restoration services the company offers (Opportunities exist to earn Mold Mitigation; Fire & Water Damage Restoration certifications and experience quickly). (Note: Compensation levels will reflect the experience level of the technician. Hourly rate increases as experience and certifications are gained in water mitigation, mold, trauma scene, and asbestos certifications are added. Commissions are possible on top of hourly rate)
• Complete appropriate cleaning and restoration documentation and authorizations.

• Perform basic vehicle maintenance.
