Job summary

Voda Cleaning & Restoration is hiring a Cleaning and Restoration Technician to support carpet and floor cleaning and restoration services for our clients. You will work on-site, perform tasks, document activities, and communicate clearly with customers to ensure satisfaction.

Opportunities exist to advance into specialized restoration roles such as Water Damage Restoration Technician (WRT) and Mold Remediation Specialist (MRS). The franchise emphasizes rapid growth and hands-on training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to perform carpet and floor cleaning and restoration tasks.
• Basic math skills to determine equipment type and quantity.
• Basic computer skills to report daily activity.
• Experience in cleaning or related field preferred; IICRC certifications desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform carpet and floor cleaning and restoration as offered by the company.
• Complete cleaning documentation and authorizations.
• Communicate effectively with customers.
• Perform basic equipment maintenance.
• Perform basic vehicle maintenance.
• Inspect completed work and maintain tools and supplies.
• Be willing to learn new equipment and stay aligned with company standards.

Cleaning And Restoration Technician Qualifications And Experience

• Education and Experience: High school diploma (or GED).
• Mathematical Skills: Adequate math skills. Ability to apply learned techniques to determine appropriate equipment type and number of units.
• Computer Skills: Demonstrates basic proficiency in the use of computers, email, and portable devices used to report and record daily activity.
• 1 year of floor cleaning experience preferred, and/or some form of specialty cleaning (i.e. Stripping & Waxing Commercial Space Flooring, Air Duct Cleaning, Tile and Grout Cleaning, Upholstery Cleaning, etc.)
• Highly Desired Certificates from the Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC)
• Carpet Cleaning Technician (CCT)* preferred but not required
• Opportunities to advance into:
• Water Damage Restoration Technician (WRT)
• Applied Microbial Remediation Technician (AMRT)
• Applied Structural Drying Technician (ASD)
• Mold Remediation Specialist (MRS)
• Fire and Smoke Damage Restoration Technician (FSRT)

Cleaning and Restoration Technician Responsibilities

• Effectively perform Carpet & Floor Cleaning and Restoration services the company offers (Opportunities exist to earn Mold Mitigation; Fire & Water Damage Restoration certifications and experience quickly). (Note: Compensation levels will reflect the experience level of the technician. Hourly rate increases as experience and certifications are gained in water mitigation, mold, trauma scene, and asbestos certifications are added. Commissions are possible on top of hourly rate)
• Complete appropriate cleaning and restoration documentation and authorizations.
• Communicate effectively with customers.
• Perform basic equipment maintenance.
• Perform basic vehicle maintenance.
• Inspect completed work.
• Complete the technician’s daily log.
• Complete Work Orders.
• Maintain appearance and stock of appropriate tools, materials, and supplies for company vehicles.
• Maintain inventory of related supplies.
• Willing to learn and work with the newest equipment and technology in the industry.
• Willing to hold self and others accountable for maintaining company standards.
