Job summary

Voda Cleaning & Restoration of Toledo is seeking a Cleaning and Restoration Technician to perform carpet and floor cleaning and restoration services, supporting customer satisfaction and quality workmanship.

The role offers growth through certifications (IICRC), on-the-job training, and opportunities to advance within the franchise as you gain experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Adequate math skills and ability to apply techniques to select equipment.
• Basic proficiency with computers, email and mobile devices used for daily reporting.

Responsibilities

• Perform carpet and floor cleaning and restoration services offered by the company.
• Complete cleaning and restoration documentation and authorizations.
• Demolition as needed.
• Communicate effectively with customers.
• Perform basic equipment maintenance.
• Perform basic vehicle maintenance.
• Inspect completed work and maintain inventory of tools and supplies.
• Willing to learn new equipment and technology; uphold company standards.
• Franchise location will handle hiring; inquiries go to the local franchise.

Cleaning and Restoration Technician Job Summary

Assist in retaining customers by fulfilling the company’s obligations through the timely and effective delivery of restoration services.

Qualifications and Experience

• Education and Experience: High school diploma (or GED).
• Mathematical Skills: Adequate math skills. Ability to apply learned techniques to determine appropriate equipment type and number of units.
• Computer Skills: Demonstrates basic proficiency in the use of computers, email, and portable devices used to report and record daily activity.
• 1 year of floor cleaning experience preferred, and/or some form of specialty cleaning (e.g. Stripping & Waxing Commercial Space Flooring, Air Duct Cleaning, Tile and Grout Cleaning, Upholstery Cleaning).
• Highly Desired Certificates from the Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC).
• Carpet Cleaning Technician (CCT)* preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Effectively perform Carpet & Floor Cleaning and Restoration services the company offers (Opportunities exist to earn Mold Mitigation; Fire & Water Damage Restoration certifications and experience quickly). (Note: Compensation levels will reflect the experience level of the technician. Hourly rate increases as experience and certifications are gained in water mitigation, mold, trauma scene, and asbestos certifications are added. Commissions are possible on top of hourly rate)

Complete appropriate cleaning and restoration documentation and authorizations.

Demolition as needed.

Communicate effectively with customers.

Perform basic equipment maintenance.

Perform basic vehicle maintenance.

Inspect completed work.

Complete the technician’s daily log.

Complete Work Orders.

Maintain appearance and stock of appropriate tools, materials, and supplies for company vehicles.

Maintain inventory of related supplies.

Willing to learn and work with the newest equipment and technology in the industry.

Willing to hold self and others accountable for maintaining company standards.
