Cleaning and Restoration Technician Job Summary

Assist in retaining customers by fulfilling the company’s obligations through the timely and effective delivery of restoration services.

Qualifications and Experience

• Education and Experience: High school diploma (or GED).
• Mathematical Skills: Adequate math skills. Ability to apply learned techniques to determine appropriate equipment type and number of units.
• Computer Skills: Demonstrates basic proficiency in the use of computers, email, and portable devices used to report and record daily activity.
• Experience: 1 year of floor cleaning preferred, and/or experience in specialty cleaning (e.g., stripping & waxing, air duct cleaning, tile and grout cleaning, upholstery cleaning).
• Certifications: Highly desired certificates from the IICRC, such as Carpet Cleaning Technician (CCT) preferred but not required.
• Opportunities to advance into: Water Damage Restoration Technician (WRT), Applied Microbial Remediation Technician (AMRT), Applied Structural Drying Technician (ASD), Mold Remediation Specialist (MRS), Fire and Smoke Damage Restoration Technician (FSRT).

Responsibilities

• Perform Carpet & Floor Cleaning and Restoration services effectively. Opportunities exist to earn certifications in mold mitigation, fire & water damage restoration, etc. Compensation increases with experience and certifications. Commissions possible.
• Complete documentation and authorizations for cleaning and restoration activities.
• Communicate effectively with customers.
• Perform basic equipment and vehicle maintenance.
• Inspect work, complete logs, work orders, and maintain supplies and inventory.
• Willing to learn new equipment and technology, and uphold company standards.
