Job summary

Ontario Trillium Foundation in Durham, NC, seeks a Cleaner/Spotter for an environmentally friendly Lapels plant. The role focuses on stain recognition, pre- or post-spotting, and managing dry cleaning loads to maintain production quality and profitability.

You will supervise finishers and pressers, ensure work is completed at profitable production levels, and sort garments to stations across the plant. The ideal candidate has three years of industry experience and is open to Lapels production

The Cleaner/Spotter of an Environmentally Friendly Lapels Plant is responsible for ensuring the overall production quality and profitability of garment cleaning.We typically look for a Cleaner/Spotter with three (3) years of industry experience, who not only has prior knowledge of running a Dry Cleaning Plant but is also open-minded to seeing the benefits of using the Lapels program and systems of production.

At Lapels, a Cleaner/Spotter will daily be responsible for such items as:

• Professional Spotting – including recognizing the type of stain and either pre-spotting or post spotting that garment
• Running dry cleaning loads
• Finishing of garments
• Overseeing finishers & pressers to ensure quality work at profitable production levels
• Overall control of work
• Sorting of garments to proper stations throughout Plant
