J&H Janitorial Company is seeking a Part-Time Cleaner to perform cleaning and upkeep of an assigned area in Montgomery, AL. Duties include cleaning floors, restrooms, cafeterias, and common areas with attention to safety and professionalism.

The shift runs 5:00pm–9:00pm and pays $11.00 per hour. Applicants should be punctual, dependable, and able to pass a background check and drug screening. Prior janitorial or custodial experience is preferred and good customer service is a plus.

Job Summary

Job Duties

Cleaners are assigned areas and could perform one or more of the following duties:

1. Empty trash and replace can liners.
2. Dust, wipe and spot clean furniture, fixtures, and equipment.
3. Clean, sanitize all fixtures, floors, and restock paper and soap supplies in bathrooms.
4. Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors.
5. Clean cafeterias or eating areas.
6. Any other duties as mandated by the scope of the contract.

Cleaners are expected to:

• follow safety procedures when handling cleaning chemicals and equipment
• communicate effectively any irregularities, equipment or building damage,
• follow security protocols as dictated by the contract.
• wear company issued shirts.
• maintain a professional and courteous demeanor.

• Previous experience in a janitorial, custodial, or commercial cleaning role is preferred.
• Demonstratedgood customer service skillsand the ability to interact professionally with the public.
• Apositive attitudeand a strong, reliable work ethic.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Must be punctual and dependable.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 25 lbs for the duration of the shift.
