Job summary

Servicon is seeking a dedicated janitor to perform cleaning, sanitizing, and maintenance across assigned areas in accordance with our quality and safety standards. You will work to uphold clean, safe spaces and interact with clients as needed.

Responsibilities include vacuuming and damp-mopping floors, dusting and wiping surfaces, emptying waste, and assisting with general upkeep. A high school diploma is required, and prior custodial experience is preferred.

• Strong interpersonal and leadership abilities.
• Proven problem solving and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Empty, clean, and damp-wipe all waste receptacles and remove waste to designated areas.
• Vacuum rugs and carpeted areas; sweep or damp-mop hard floors; clean spills as needed in offices, lobbies, corridors, stairwells, and public areas.
• Dust and wipe office furniture, cabinets, fixtures, windowsills, air vents, and other surfaces.
• Remove fingerprints and smudges from doors, frames, light switches, and glass surfaces.
• Keep janitor’s closet clean, neat, and orderly.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

The Role

Directly responsible for cleaning, sanitizing, and maintaining all assigned areas using established practices and procedures according to company and client standards of quality and safety. May require frequent interaction with client.

What You Will Do

• Empty, clean, and damp-wipe all waste receptacles as well as remove waste paper and rubbish from the premises to designated areas.
• Vacuum all rugs and carpeted areas, sweep or dust-mop hard floor surfaces, and damp-mop or clean spills as needed in offices, lobbies, corridors, stairwells, and public areas.
• Hand dust and wipe clean all office furniture, file cabinets, fixtures, paneling, windowsills, air-conditioning diffusers, wall grilles, and all other horizontal surfaces.
• Remove all finger marks and smudges from vertical surfaces, including doors, doorframes, light switches, private entrance glass, and partitions.
• Keep janitor’s closet clean, neat, and in orderly condition.
• Other jobs and duties as identified or assigned as needed.
