We are looking for a a seasonal part-time community Cleaner for six communities in Ohio. The main location will be our Valley Hills community located in Ravenna, Ohio.

Job Purpose

The Cleaner will clean, sanitize, and maintain private residences and commercial buildings.

Job Duties

• Clean new and vacant homes to prepare for new residents to move in
• Record and report issues with a home or property to the community manager
• Clean community offices
• Support efforts necessary to regularly inspect and maintain the community to consistently provide an attractive, clean and safe place to live.
• Performs general cleaning and sanitizing tasks and services throughout assigned property(ies) which may include the following tasks: Cleaning and disinfecting bathrooms, kitchen, dining areas. Washing dishes, utensils, glasses, pots, and pans. Wiping and dusting surfaces in rooms and cleans mirrors. Vacuuming and cleaning floors, rugs, furniture, and drapes. Cleaning linens and preparing beds where applicable.
• Stocks towels, washcloths, and hand towels in bathrooms. Picking up and emptying trash containers. Loading washers and dryers and folding sheets and towels in laundry room as needed.
• Uses cleaning cart to transport cleaning supplies.
• Safely and properly handle cleaning materials, substances, and chemicals.
• In commercial property, notifies maintenance if something is not working properly.
• Comm unicate professionally and respectfully with coworkers, managers and community residents.
• Consist ently meet UMH standards for quality and safety.
• The position includes all other responsibilities that may be necessary to fulfill the duties associated with the position or as may be assigned.

• Ability to remain discreet and respect the privacy of residents, tenants, and/or guests.
• Sufficient ability to read, write, speak, understand, and communicate to complete work efficiently, effectively, and courteously.
  
  

Education and Experience:

• Education sufficient to read, write, and speak as needed for the job.
  
  

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods standing and walking and frequently pulling, pushing, and bending.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds at times.
  
  

Work Environment

• Working mainly indoors with occasional outdoor tasks
• Safe and proper handling of cleaning materials, substances, and chemicals.
• When working outdoors; Exposure to elements of nature such as varying climates and weather conditions, uneven terrain, insects, animals, etc.
  
  

Travel

• Depending upon community locations and assignments, this role may require travel to multiple communities on a regular basis
  
  

Work Schedule

• Full-time schedule, Monday through Friday. Base hours are approximately 40 hours per week.
• Overtime may be assigned dependent upon community staffing and community needs.
• Overtime work may be required on weekends and holidays.
• In-person attendance is an essential function of this position.
