Job summary

Le Roy Central School District is seeking full-time cleaners to maintain classrooms, hallways and facilities. Cleaners perform a range of duties including cleaning floors, windows, bathrooms, dusting furniture, and tidying spaces to support a safe school environment.

Job description

Le Roy Central School District is seeking full-time cleaners. Cleaners perform a range of duties to keep our district clean, including, but not limited to:

• Sweeps and mops floors by hand or floor machine;
• Washes windows and polishes floors;
• Dusts woodwork, furniture and other articles;
• Cleans bathrooms and replenishes supplies;
• Washes glassware and other dishware equipment;
• Vacuum carpets;
• Picks up and recycles trash;
• Does related work, as needed.

The applicant must possess or obtain NYS fingerprinting clearance and have:

• Working knowledge of building cleaning practices, supplies and equipment, and ability to use them economically and efficiently; ability to understand and follow simple oraland written directions; willingness to perform janitorial tasks; thoroughness; dependability.
• The physical demands described here are representativeof those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
• The employee is constantly required to stand; walk; bend; climb; reach with hands and arms; perform repetitive motions; and talk and hear.
