Job summary

BioLegend, Inc. is seeking a hands-on technician to perform cleanroom–based microfluidic fabrication tasks in a high-volume environment. The role requires attention to documented processes and flexibility to handle routine assignments with minimal supervision.

The candidate should be able to operate lithography, wet benches, epoxy dispense, UV curing, packaging, and related equipment, while complying with safety and cleanroom protocols. Prior manufacturing experience is preferred.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 1–2 years of manufacturing experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret specifications, procedures, and math.
  • Reads and writes in English.
  • Familiar with Microsoft Windows, Word and Excel.
  • Know-how of basic laboratory safety and cleanroom protocol.

Responsibilities

  • Operate in a high-volume Microfluidic fabrication lab.
  • Perform workstation activities in wafer manufacturing or test areas, including lithography, wet benches, epoxy dispense, UV curing, packaging, dicing, drilling, and test equipment.
  • Follow documented specifications and production schedules.
  • Handle chemicals daily, including Hydrofluoric Acid; wear safety attire (glasses, face shield, apron, gloves).
  • Use a microscope and work in Class 100 & 1000 cleanroom environments.
  • Adhere to safety and cleanroom standards; collaborate for problem solving and continuous improvement.

Job description

Summary:

Responsibility for performing functions in a cleanroom associated with all Microfluidic chip manufacturing operations in a high volume fast past environment, the ideal candidate must be able to accomplish assignments that are routine in nature where limited judgment is required.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Work in a high-volume Microfluidic fabrication lab
  • Operates workstation activities in a wafer manufacturing or test area devoted to both production and process development. Processes include - lithography, wet benches, pick and place, epoxy dispense, UV curing, packaging, dicing, drilling, test equipment and substrate bonding
  • Performs production processes in accordance with documented specifications and production schedules
  • You could handle chemicals on daily basis including Hydrofluoric Acid. Use of safety attire is required and will include use of safety glasses, face shield, apron and gloves.
  • Must have ability to use a microscope
  • Work in a Class 100 & 1000 environment which will require use of full cleanroom attire
  • Adhere to all safety and clean room specifications
  • Interacts with other team members toward the solution of problems and the fulfillment of manufacturing objectives and participate in natural work group teams for continuous improvement.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1-2 years of manufacturing experience
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Ability to communicate effectively in a group as well as on an individual level.
  • Ability to work cooperatively as part of a team with people of various educational and technical backgrounds.
  • Must have the ability to read and interpret specifications, procedures, and mathematics.
  • Requires the ability to read and write English
  • Requires computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Windows, Word and Excel.
  • Must be familiar with basic laboratory safety and cleanroom protocol.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to work in a Class 100 clean room
  • Ability to wear the full clean room suit covered from head to toe
  • Ability to stand and/or walk for up to 4 hours at a time
  • Ability to lift up to 10lbs and push/pull up to 20 pounds
Compensation Range:

The hourly pay range for this full-time position is $18.00 - $24.00. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for a new hire in this position. The base pay actually offered to the successful candidate will take into account internal equity, work location, and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Please note that base pay is only one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This range allows for the successful candidate to have an opportunity to progress within the position and develop at our company. This base pay range does not take into account bonuses, equity, or other benefits which may be applicable and are dependent on the level and position offered.
