Job Summary:

Under the general supervision of the Detector Production Manager, the Cleanroom Manufacturing Technician performs hands‑on technical tasks in a cleanroom environment to support wafer fabrication and backside processing. This role involves operating and maintaining semiconductor processing equipment, monitoring workflows, and collaborating with other technicians and engineers to ensure high-quality production and continuous improvement.

This is a full‑time, 2nd Shift position working Monday through Friday, 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM, and includes a 10% shift differential in addition to your base hourly pay. To ensure a successful transition, comprehensive training will be provided on 1st Shift for approximately 8 to 12 weeks before moving to the regular 2nd Shift schedule.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

• Perform detailed inspection and production tasks using microscopes at both seated and standing workstations.
• Safely handle and work with manufacturing chemicals, solvents, and related process materials.
• Operate and monitor vacuum deposition equipment, wet benches, and other semiconductor processing tools.
• Enter and maintain production information, including travelers and work‑in‑process (WIP) tracking data.
• Conduct measurements, collect process data, and accurately document inspection and production results to support process monitoring and quality requirements.
• Maintain and update production records, including travelers and work‑in‑process (WIP) data, ensuring product traceability, data integrity, and compliance with quality standards.
• Maintain accurate documentation to ensure product traceability, data integrity, and compliance with quality standards.
• Collaborate and communicate effectively with technicians, engineers, and cross‑functional operations teams.
• Partner with Engineering to support process development, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement activities.
• Support 5S initiatives by promoting a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications:

• Strong attention to detail
• Demonstrate fine motor skills and the ability to use small hand tools
• Able to read, write, and communicate effectively using the English language
• Able to read, interpret, and work from engineering documentation with minimal supervision
• Able to use a microscope to visually inspect small parts
• Basic computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
• Must be able to use a microscope up to 8 hours a day
• Must be able to sit or stand for up to 8 hours a day
• Must be able to lift or carry up to 25 lbs., unassisted
• Must be able to push or pull up to 50 lbs., unassisted

Education and Experience:

• 3+ years of experience in a Manufacturing and/or Material environment
• Prior cleanroom experience (ISO Class 6 experience preferred)
• Prior microscope experience to perform detailed inspections and identify defects of small components

Salary Range:

$50,600.00-$67,500.000
