Job summary

Ceva Animal Health in Lenexa, KS is seeking a Manufacturing Technician I to support Marek’s Disease vaccine production in a clean room. The role involves aseptic handling of tissue and viral cultures, growth medium prep, and accurate documentation in a GMP environment.

Responsibilities include following SOPs, participating in weekend/shifts, and collaborating with lab staff to ensure timely production of vaccine batches while maintaining strict safety and cleanliness standards.

Qualifications

• Education - High school diploma or equivalent; associates in life science is a plus.
• Experience in laboratory manufacturing is beneficial but not required.
• Able to perform aseptic and clean room procedures with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Aseptic technique: All laboratory processes must be performed aseptically.
• Clean room work: daily gowning with sterile PPE and controlled environment.
• SOPs: follow Marek’s Laboratory SOPs, QA SOPs and related procedures.
• Documentation: accurate, legible, and timely entry of procedures.
• Tissue & Viral Culture: perform and understand basic tissue and viral culture.
• Media preparation: assist in growth medium and cryoprotectant prep.
• Laboratory support: assist Marek’s Lab Support with ancillary tasks.
• Weekend/shift coverage: rotate shifts and cover weekends as needed.
• GMP & CFR Title 9 compliance: adhere to animal health manufacturing standards.
