Job summary

Ceva Animal Health in Lenexa, KS is seeking an Upstream Live Technician I to manufacture live viral antigens through egg-, cell-, and tissue culture-based processes. You will work with lab and manufacturing equipment and follow cGMP, SOPs, and safety procedures to support multiple upstream platforms.

This role requires preparing media and solutions, maintaining cultures, aseptic technique, environmental monitoring, and accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• Associate/Bachelor's degree in Life Science preferred but not required.
• Two or more years of experience in a Life Science field is preferred.
• Knowledge of cGMP and cGLP procedures is desirable. Lean Manufacturing experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set up laboratories and production equipment aseptically for manufacturing procedures.
• Perform turnaround, assembly, disassembly, cleaning, sterilization, and aseptic reassembly of production equipment.
• Operate laboratory and manufacturing equipment including autoclaves, incubators, centrifuges, pumps, scales, microscopes, pH and conductivity meters, bio-welders, tissue culture vessels, and filtration/concentration equipment.
• Prepare media, buffers, solutions, and equipment following SOPs, production records, and cGMP guidelines.
• Monitor cultures, perform sampling, and maintain process parameters.
• Receive, disinfect, transfer, candle, and inspect eggs and/or cells; perform cell counting and microscopic examination.
• Complete production records and documentation according to cGMP and Good Documentation Practices.
