Panhandle Power Solutions LLC is an Alaska Native-owned company with service offerings in the Federal and Private Sectors. PPS provides EPC services with an emphasis on Electrical scope self-performance. As a member of Bristol Bay Industrial and Bristol Bay Native Corporation we are situated in a vast network of Electrical, General Construction, Civil and Environmental entities across the United States.

Panhandle Power Solutions is looking for a Clean Energy Project Manager for ongoing and future projects located in Texas. This role will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and successful completion of renewable energy projects within this designated region. This role involves managing project teams, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with all regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in project management, a strong background in clean energy, excellent leadership and communication skills, and the willingness to travel up to 50% to site as needed (per diem when applicable). Candidate must reside in the Houston, Texas area and will be responsible for several ongoing solar and/or BESS projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop project schedule, based on the SOW.
  • Manage project financials, including overall budget, procurement of project equipment and materials and any project modifications.
  • Identify project objectives, deliverables, and milestones in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Oversee the day-to-day management of ongoing projects, ensuring all activities align with the project schedule.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional departments, including preconstruction, craft personnel, and accounting, to ensure project success.
  • Monitor project progress, track performance metrics, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and suppliers.
  • Facilitate regular project meetings and provide updates on project status, risks, and issues.
  • Ensure clear and effective communication between the project team.
  • Monitor project expenditures and implement cost control measures to stay within budget.
  • Prepare financial reports and forecasts for financial review meetings.
  • Ensure all safety protocols and procedures are followed to protect personnel and assets.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, or a related field (Preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in project management within the renewable energy sector.
  • Strong knowledge of Solar and BESS.
  • Strong proficiency with ProCore project management software.
  • Candidate must be able to read electrical plans and specs to perform the job.
  • The candidate must be capable of passing a DoD security background check and receiving a contractor base pass as required to work on federal property.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to be able to work directly with our clients and subcontractors.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Outlook and Excel.
  • Ability to travel as required to project sites within the region as needed.
  • Experience with utility-scale Solar/BESS projects.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and permitting processes for the state of Texas.
