Job summary

Clayton Home Building Group in the United States is seeking a Construction Project Manager to oversee all stages of home construction in the field, coordinate permitting, walk-throughs, and service coordination with our retail team.

You will manage contractor schedules, pull permits, ensure timely project completion, maintain customer relations, and support sales teams during marketing and events. A two-year degree is preferred, with strong communication and organizational skills.

Construction Project Manager

The Construction Project Manager is a vital member of the overall company. The Construction Project Manager reports to the Home Center General Manager. The purpose of this position is to assist our retail team in providing timely completion of construction while providing world-class service. To accomplish this, the Construction Project Manager is primarily responsible for all stages of construction out in the field, including but not limited to construction management, permitting, walk-throughs and coordinating service.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing construction phase for all current deals working
• Scheduling all contracted work
• Following up with Contractors as well as customers for service calls
• Pulling permits
• Conducting walk-throughs with customers
• Managing the Home Centers Net Promoter Score (NPS – Customer Service)
• Schedule set-up and delivery and other service-related items
• Follow-up with customers utilizing various contact methods
• Merchandising the retail location and homes, including but not limited to moving furniture, décor and cleaning homes
• Actively partner with manager on all exceptions and questions
• Protect company assets
• Participate in sales meetings and other company events
• Participate as needed during marketing promotions and events
• Contribute to a positive team environment
• Assist other Sales Professionals as needed
• Cooperative and collaborative, willing and eager to work in a team environment, assist with miscellaneous duties as required

Compensation

As a Construction Project Manager with Clayton, you will receive a base salary ranging from $50,000-$60,000, based on experience, along with additional performance bonus opportunities.
