Job summary

Stellantis in Auburn Hills, MI is seeking a Clay Modeling Supervisor to lead a sculpting team and oversee development of three-dimensional clay and composite models for interior and exterior surfaces.

You will coordinate with internal and external partners to ensure timely, accurate illustrations of design intent, while forecasting workload and managing employee records to support multi-level decision meetings.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• 8 years in automotive clay modeling or automotive design prototyping.
• Ability to facilitate meetings and communicate at all levels of the organization.
• Strategize work plans and prioritize assignments.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee, monitor, and coordinate manpower, data, and workflow for the development of three-dimensional clay and composite material models, interior and/or exterior
• Coordinate with internal (milling, engineering, fabrication, ...) and off-site (outside suppliers) resources to ensure timely and accurate illustrations of design intent
• Lead and motivate a team of sculptors to support accurate, timely and correctly represented models for surface development, verification, and multi-level decision meetings
• Manage and maintain records of employees
• Forecast upcoming workload and anticipate manpower needs
