The State of Indiana is hiring an Instructional Assistant at Pendleton Juvenile Correctional Facility. The role supports classroom teachers, assists with lesson plans, student assessments, and field trips, and helps maintain discipline under supervision.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of full‑time experience in an Educational Institution or related area may be considered.
• Ability to assist in clerical preparations of daily and weekly lesson plans and progress recording.
• Ability to stimulate students' interest and relate to diverse developmental needs.
• Ability to operate audio‑visual equipment and assist with field trips or experiential learning.

Responsibilities

• Support classroom preparation and lesson plan preparation.
• Assist with behavior management of the classroom.
• Take attendance, manage supplies, and maintain classroom records.
• Administer tests and grade papers and tests.
• Tutor small groups and assist with daily instruction.
• May participate in field trips and experiential learning programs.
• Operate audio‑visual and special educational equipment.
