Job summary

Qualifications

• Good listening and memory skills.
• Excellent English skills.
• Typing speed of at least 60 words per minute, with no errors, and
• No history of pain in the arms or wrist that might suggest a repetitive motion disorder.

Responsibilities

• Transcribers provide meaning-for-meaning services in classrooms, lectures on campus, professor/student meetings, conferences, special events, and other places where dialog might occur.
• As they transcribe, the text is streamed wirelessly to the reader so they can see the information and participate in the discussion.
