A leading health provider seeks an Early Learning Teacher to develop and implement effective early learning activities. The ideal candidate will engage with parents, monitor children's progress, and maintain a safe classroom environment. A CDA certification and understanding of developmentally appropriate practices are required.
SCOPE OF POSITION
The Early Learning Teacher’s purpose is to initiate and implement activities geared to the developmental needs of the particular group of children, and to channel productively the interest and energies of these children. The Teacher is a demonstrated professional who possess professional knowledge and professional level preparation, and exercises discretion and judgement. They will possess the ability to expertly prepare lesson plans, engage with parents on development needs and specialized learning, and consistently exhibit expertise in early learning. Additionally, the Teacher shallassess and record each child’s progress and report that progress to Director and to parents. The Teacher shalltrain and direct the efforts of teacher assistants. The Teacher shalldevelop and actively maintain a clean, organized, healthy, and safe classroom environment.

EDUCATION EXPERIENCE
Child Development Association (CDA) certification required. Associate's degree in Early Childhood education preferred.Must possess a clear, working understanding of Developmentally Appropriate Practice of Early Childhood.Must possess an understanding that Early Learning Center staff must have knowledge and understanding of hospital policies and procedures.Incumbent must be18 years of age or older.
