Job summary

St. Aloysius Catholic Preschool in New Canaan, CT, part of the Bridgeport Diocese, seeks a Head Teacher to plan and deliver developmentally appropriate early childhood education for children ages 18 months through 5 years.

Qualifications include an Associate's or Bachelor's in Early Childhood Education or related field with 12 credits in ECE/Child Development or a CDA, and at least two years of licensed preschool experience.

Early Childhood Head Teacher St. Aloysius Catholic PreSchool Qualified Early Childhood Educators: We're Looking for You! A state-licensed and Catholic Preschool, is seeking a Head Teacher to join our team immediately. We provide high-quality early childhood education and care for children ages 18 months-5 in New Canaan, Connecticut. Required Educational Qualifications

• Must have an Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or Human Development, OR

Experience Requirements

• Minimum of two years of experience in a licensed preschool, child care center, or comparable early childhood setting serving children ages 3-5.
• Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices.
• Familiarity with Connecticut Early Learning and Development Standards (CT ELDS), NAEYC standards, and Connecticut OEC/DPH licensing requirements preferred.
• Commitment to ongoing professional growth and education.
