Job summary

St Mary's Catholic School is seeking a dedicated Teacher Aide to support teachers in delivering classroom instruction and maintaining a positive learning environment. Under the supervision of a certified teacher, you will assist with instructional activities, materials preparation, and basic clerical tasks.

You will also help supervise students in various settings, tutor individuals or small groups, and support students with special needs or language barriers.

Qualifications

• Strong organizational and interpersonal abilities are required.
• Clear, effective spoken and written communication is essential.
• Ability to read and understand written information is necessary.

Responsibilities

• Assist in classroom instruction under the supervision of a certified teacher.
• Support independent study, enrichment work, and remedial instruction as directed.
• Provide help to students with special attention or needs.
• Prepare instructional materials for classroom and student use.
• Assist with routine clerical tasks in hard copy and digital formats.
• Supervise students in various school settings and field trips.
• Tutor students individually or in small groups to reinforce learning concepts.
• Enforce school policies and rules governing students.
