Responsibilities

• Assist under the direct supervision of a teacher in creating instructional materials.
• Supervise and escort students to ensure safety and welfare as required.
• Provide classroom-related clerical support (notes, folders, data collection).
• Prepare instructional materials and teaching aids under teacher direction.
• Assist with lunchroom activities and dining with students as needed.
• Supervise nap/rest periods and assist as needed.
• Provide care when teacher is briefly absent (not substitute teaching).
• Construct items for tests/worksheets per teacher guidelines.
• Follow up on lessons and review materials with students.
• Supervise small group discussions and activities.
• Assist individual students as assigned by the teacher.
• Engage with programs for groups of students.
