This position is non-exempt and salary placement follows FCPS scales. A high school diploma or GED is required, with additional credits or degrees for Title One

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or GED required; 48 college credits or AA degree may be required for Title One Schools.
• Clear, concise communication in written and spoken English.
• Working knowledge of English, spelling, vocabulary, and mathematics.
• Willingness to participate in training programs designed by school staff.
• Capable of performing essential functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Regular and predictable attendance.

Aufgaben

• Works with individuals or small groups under supervision of a classroom teacher or administrator.
• Checks papers and monitors student progress.
• Operates office machines and may do some typing.
• Prepares and arranges materials for instruction.
• Supervises recreational or field trips and manages class activities.
• Performs classroom duties like attendance, collecting money, and conferences.
• Monitors groups to free the teacher for other tasks.
• Uses computer programs to assist students in small groups.
• Substitutes for teachers in emergencies.
