Qualifications

• Knowledge of childhood growth and development, behavior management techniques, and clerical procedures.
• Ability to teach general academic subjects to others.
• Ability to supervise children in the absence of a supervisor.
• Ability to perform basic clerical tasks, communicate effectively orally and in writing, and follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers with classroom duties and provide small group instruction as directed.
• Support students academically in one-to-one, small group, or whole class settings.
• Prepare and reproduce classroom materials; assist with bulletin boards and displays.
• Supervise students on and off the bus; assist in library, computer lab, and playground as needed.
• Provide clerical assistance including typing, filing, attendance, and ordering supplies.
