Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Highly-Qualified Aide Status required
• Experience working with children preferred
• Ability to communicate effectively and work with diverse learners

Responsibilities

• Assist teacher in preparing instructional materials and classroom displays.
• Assist with administration and scoring of objective testing instruments or assignments.
• Help maintain neat and orderly classroom and manage equipment.
• Maintain inventory and care of classroom resources and supplies.
• Prepare and maintain administrative records and reports; assist substitutes.
• Provide orientation and assistance to substitute teachers.
• Ensure materials and supplies are ready for classroom use.
• Conduct instructional exercises with students or small groups as directed.
• Supervise students during lunch, bus, and recess; monitor behavior.
• Participate in staff development and faculty meetings; perform other duties as assigned.
• Provide first aid as necessary; keep classrooms and eating areas clean.
