Clayton County Public Schools is seeking a Paraprofessional to support teachers and students across various programs at Eddie White Middle in Hampton, GA. The role involves assisting with instruction, materials preparation, and student supervision under general supervision.

The position requires an associate degree or higher, two years of college coursework with good standing, or completion of the GACE Paraprofessional Assessment plus a diploma/GED.

Qualifications

• Hold an associate’s degree or higher in any subject from a GaPSC-accepted accredited institution.
• Two years of college coursework (60 sem hours or 90 quarter hours) above remedial level with a grade of C or better.
• Passed the GACE Paraprofessional Assessment and hold a minimum of a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Paraprofessional experience serving school age children desirable.
• Bilingual or bicultural experience required for certain positions.
• Must hold or be eligible for a GaPSC-issued Paraprofessional License; certification will be applied for upon hire.

Responsabilités

• Provide support to students in resource, self-contained, regular classroom and/or in-school suspension settings.
• Conduct small group or individual activities based on lesson plans developed by the teacher.
• Provide language translation services as needed.
• Assist with preparing instructional materials and classroom setup.
• Assist in inventory and operation of the media center and supervision of students when the media specialist is absent.
• Maintain routine records and assist with school-wide supervision, including bus loading/unloading.
