Job summary

King Elementary School is seeking a dedicated Title Paraprofessional to join our team during the school day. You will support teachers by implementing lesson activities, assisting students one-on-one or in small groups, and helping maintain a safe, positive learning environment.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, strong communication, patience, and teamwork. Familiarity with educational technology and ability to work with students with diverse needs is preferred; part-time

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework preferred.
• Experience with children in educational or childcare settings is desirable.
• Strong communication, patience, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and staff.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with educational technology.
• Pass background checks as required by school district policies.
• Availability to work part-time during school hours.

Responsibilities

• Assist classroom teachers with lesson plans and activities tailored to diverse needs.
• Provide one-on-one or small group support to students needing help.
• Monitor and document student progress and behavior, reporting concerns.
• Maintain a safe and positive classroom environment.
• Assist with classroom management and material preparation.
• Support students in developing social skills and positive behaviors.
• Collaborate with teachers to adapt lessons for students with special needs.
• Participate in professional development opportunities.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervising staff.
