Job summary

Applitrack is seeking a Substitute/Teacher Assistant to support certified staff and assist students in achieving instructional goals. The role involves guiding learning activities, supervising non-instructional tasks, and helping implement individual education plans.

Under supervision, you will reinforce reading, math and language arts, assist with assessments, and help maintain a safe, inclusive classroom environment for students with diverse needs.

Qualifications

• Desire to work with and support children.
• Ability to follow written or oral instructions.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of student information.

Responsibilities

• Assist students individually or in small groups to reinforce learning.
• Support certified staff in administering and correcting exercises and assessments.
• Help with classroom preparations and reinforcement of instructional materials.
• Record student learning and performance and assist with data tracking.
• Support classroom behavioral management to maintain a safe, on-task environment.
• Supervise non-instructional activities such as lunch, bus, playground, study hall.
• Accompany students on field trips for supervision.
• Assist teacher with parent contact to encourage involvement.
